Bristol Choral Society is a large, friendly choir with high musical standards. Regular meetings to rehearse are weekly on a Wednesday in central Bristol during term times
The choir’s repertoire ranges from major works by Mozart, Handel, Fauré to contemporary works by Chilcott, McDowall and Weir.
Bristol Choral Society actively encourages and supports the next generation in the pursuit of singing and music through a range of youth development and outreach activities with schools and young people.
Young people thrive in and around music and we welcome any youngster who wants to try singing, regardless of ability.
Founded in 1889 the choir has a tradition of high musical standards which has been cherished over the past 130 years.
We have an established reputation as the leading symphony chorus in the South West and we're proud of our long history and contribution to the musical and cultural life of Bristol and the wider region.
Bristol Choral Society usually stages at least four concerts each year with professional orchestras and soloists, and we receive fantastic reviews from audiences, and local and national media.
