A chance to join Bristol Choral Society for an afternoon singing Haydn's Missa in angustiis (Mass for troubled times) Commonly known as the "Nelson Mass" it is arguably one of his greatest compositions. Written in 1798 when his world was in turmoil, it remains highly relevant today. Despite the foreboding the prevailing mood of the Nelson Mass is of jubilation and this is bound to be a focus of our Musical Director Hilary Campbell. BCS will be performing this fully in the Bristol Beacon in March 2027 (along with Mozart Requiem) so this is also an opportunity to see if you would like to join us! |
